 Environment Vasudha (वसुधा)

The Vasudha project, an instrumental arm of NOBA GSR (Netarhat Old Boys Association Global Social Responsibility), epitomizes the philanthropic mission of enhancing the lives of rural underprivileged communities in India. This particular project distinguishes itself with a profound focus on sustainable living and environmental consciousness, aligning itself with the broader goals of NOBA GSR.

At the core of the Vasudha project lies a pivotal objective—to cultivate awareness about the significance of sustainable living within communities. It serves as a catalyst for fostering a deeper connection between people and nature, advocating activities that contribute to the preservation and conservation of the environment. A flagship initiative of the Vasudha project is its commitment to tree plantation. The project extends various types of plants and seeds to individuals and communities, actively encouraging them to partake in the noble endeavor of tree planting. By doing so, the Vasudha project not only enhances green cover but also contributes to the overall well-being of the environment.

The Vasudha project, through its emphasis on tree plantation and environmental awareness, aspires to create a lasting positive impact on the environment. By encouraging sustainable practices, the project envisions a harmonious coexistence between communities and their natural surroundings. It acknowledges the critical importance of preserving natural resources and aims to guide communities in making more efficient use of their limited resources.

White Peacock Adaptation Project

A Tribute Rooted in Nature

In a world where memories often fade with time, we at NOBA GSR chose to keep them alive—not in stone, but in something living, graceful, and deeply symbolic. Under our environmental wing, Netarhat Vasudha, we adopted the White Peacock Enclosure at Patna Zoo, a tribute that binds remembrance with responsibility.

From Grief to Purpose

This initiative was born from grief—but also from gratitude. We lost two of our beloved brothers, Ravi Ranjan Patel and Abhijeet, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their absence left a silence, but we refused to let it become emptiness. Instead, we turned it into something that breathes, inspires, and heals. The white peacock, with its rare elegance and quiet majesty, became the perfect symbol—of their light, and of the legacy they left behind.

Three Years of Living Commitment

Since 2021, NOBA GSR has supported the care and upkeep of the white peacocks at Patna Zoo. This long-term adoption reflects not just our love for nature, but also a deeper understanding—that nurturing life is one of the most meaningful ways to remember those we’ve lost.

Recognition and Responsibility

Our commitment to wildlife conservation was recognized by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of Bihar, a moment of collective honor for our entire NOBA GSR family. When our treasurer received the award, it validated a belief we hold dearly: that remembrance can be a vehicle for real-world change and community-driven environmental action.

An Invitation totheWorld

This project is not a conclusion—it’s a beginning. A call for others to find meaning in conservation, to let memories inspire purpose, and to turn loss into legacy. The Earth doesn’t just need caretakers; it needs people with heart. People who believe that honoring the past and protecting the future can happen at the same time.
